Blackpool Women’s Centre is a project run by Blackpool Advocacy and Addaction, providing a safe environment for women to access practical and emotional support.

To help promote the physical, emotional, health and wellbeing of each individual woman.

Blackpool Advocacy has been providing high quality independent advocacy and representation services since 1999. Our core aim is to enable people disadvantaged by their circumstances to make known their needs and wishes in order to access appropriate services and so increase their quality of life. We currently provide the following services:
- Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (IDVA)
- Children’s Independent Domestic Violence Advisors (CIDVA)
- Generic Advocacy
- Independent Mental Health Advocacy
- Learning Disability Advocacy
- Peer Support Service for people with Dementia
Addaction is the country’s largest third sector provider of substance misuse services. Addaction Blackpool provides an intensive community based structured day programme for anyone with a history of problematic drug and alcohol misuse. Addaction provides information and advice on preventing relapses in drug taking, and helping people to address their criminal behaviour. Addaction also offers complementary therapies, I.T. Training, Volunteer Training and help with social and life skills.
